Waffle Forms 

Molded Fiber Glass CP was awarded a custom FRP waffle dome project at one of the nation’s top 25 research universities, Georgia Tech Institute of Technology, the new nanotechnology center includes two clean room facilities that fuse a unique waffle slab deck design using waffle forms. This distinctive floor design has more holes than floor because the majority of it is waffle forms. These waffle forms ensure the entire building environment remains identical 100% all the time. The two clean rooms called for optimized airflow and utility exhaust services throughout the flooring system, a design resulting in clean room air filtering through the building. We produced three rectangular shapes ranging from 44” deep x 18” wide x 38” long and smaller.
